Mehdi Nakosteen (1904-1982), born in Iran, received his doctorate from Cornell University and was Professor Emeritus of History and Philosophy of Education at the University of Colorado, Boulder. John Dewey was born on October 20, 1859 in Burlington, Vermont and graduated in 1879 from The University of Vermont.
